These terms govern your use of FLRanked (the “Service”), a competitive beat-making platform operated from Hungary. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who can use FLRanked
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 16, you confirm that a parent or guardian consents to your use of the Service. One person may hold one account; accounts may not be shared, sold or transferred.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything done through your account. Tell us immediately if you believe it has been accessed without your permission. We may refuse, reclaim or rename a username that impersonates someone, infringes a trademark, or is abusive.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of every beat you upload. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and transmit your submissions solely to operate the Service: to score them, to show them to the opponent in the battle they were entered into, and to play them back to you in your own history.
This licence covers nothing else. We do not sell your music, licence it to third parties, use it in advertising, or train models on it. It ends when you delete the submission or your account, except for copies already made for backup, which are removed on our normal backup cycle.
You confirm you have the rights to everything you upload, including any samples. Do not upload material you do not have permission to use.
4. Melodies and sounds we provide
Melodies supplied for a battle are licensed to you for that battle and for any track you build from it. You may release music made with them. You may not redistribute the melody files themselves as a sample pack or sound library.
5. Fair play
You agree not to:
- submit a beat you did not make, or re-submit another player's work;
- manipulate scoring, including by tampering with the measurements your browser sends;
- use multiple accounts to farm rating, or arrange results with another player;
- automate access to the Service, or attempt to disrupt or overload it;
- harass other users, or upload unlawful, hateful or sexually explicit material.
6. Scoring and ranking
Battles are decided by automated audio analysis, not by votes. The analysis measures objective properties of the audio; it is a judgement of measurable qualities, not an opinion on artistic merit. We may change the scoring system, recalculate ratings, or correct results affected by a fault or by cheating.
7. Moderation
We may remove content, suspend or terminate an account, and restrict access from a network address where we reasonably believe these terms have been broken. Where it is practical and lawful to do so we will tell you the reason. You can appeal through our Discord.
8. Availability
The Service is provided “as is”. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or discontinue features. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or EUR 50.
10. Ending your use
You may delete your account at any time from your account page or by asking us. Sections 3 (as to licences already granted), 9 and 11 survive termination.
11. Trademarks and independence
FLRanked is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, approved by, or in any way officially connected to Image-Line NV, the maker of FL Studio, or to any other maker of music production software.
"FL Studio", "Image-Line", and all related names, marks, logos and imagery are the trademarks of Image-Line NV. All other product names, company names, trademarks and logos mentioned anywhere on this site are the property of their respective owners. Any use of them here is nominative — that is, to refer to or describe those products — and does not imply any affiliation, endorsement, partnership or sponsorship.
The name "FLRanked" refers to this service only. We claim no rights in any third-party mark, and we do not sell, resell, distribute, host, modify or provide access to any third-party software.
FLRanked does not require any particular software to use. You export an audio file from whatever you already use and upload that file; the Service never interacts with, reads, modifies, or depends on any digital audio workstation or its project files.
If you own a mark and believe something here is confusing or unclear, contact us through our Discord server and we will deal with it promptly.
12. Law
These terms are governed by Hungarian law, and the courts of Hungary have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence, and you may use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will announce it on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
